Slots & Daggers
wanted more from it. i can see it being a good game
Antichamber
really enjoyed it in the beginning. exploring and getting lost and confused was fun but by the end of the game i started getting frustrated
UFO 50
Opus Magnum
i felt like the games tutorial was lacking not giving the user enough to understand how the game works. and the feedback of the game when completed a stage did not feel rewarding, also game prioritizing finishing as fast as possible (low numbers good) kinda takes the fun away as i preferred building Rube Goldberg-esque machines.
Mewgenics
Incestual cats took over my home.
Brothers A Tale of Two Sons
What Remains of Edith Finch
hours played : 2.1 got all family members stories What Remains of Edith Finch tells a tragic story, but what makes it so compelling is the lingering question it leaves behind. was the Finch family truly cursed, or were they struggling with generational mental illness(my theory) and, in some cases, terrible luck. The game never gives you the answer to that question . I really appreciated the pacing. It gives the player time to absorb each story, making it easier to feel immersed in the Finch home. The different visual styles for different family members were outstanding. each story felt distinct, almost like stepping into a different genre like barbara with the comic book art style. but lewis’s story stood out the most to me. The way his fantasy world slowly overtakes reality was sad and incredibly well executed. It was easily the most emotional segment of the game. some other characters stories were a bit lacking but it does not take anything away from the story
Peglin
it has the rougelike part down but the rest of it is kinda underwhelming. i never cared about the positions of enemies, aoe is too good the randomness is abit too much, not getting the path you want because rng isnt fun. had trouble trying to understand what the buffs and debuffs do the only straight forward one was the poison. overall there are many other rougelikes that i would want to play over this one.
Potion Craft
relaxing, i really enjoyed exploring the map and trying to fine tune the paths for each potion.as for the trading it is kind of lack luster, the alchemy machine and garden really synergies with the main mechanic of the game. but the selling aspect could of been replaced with something else or still selling but done in a more interesting way.
Suzerain
loved it, the game does a really good job making you feel like a leader of country that is in its worse state possible. having to deal with both internal and external affairs while also having people try to strong arm you, bribe you and outright threaten you. it had me thinking about every meeting i had and about upcoming meetings both while playing and when i was not. i will say a downside i have which is not really a major one is that takes time to feel invested i would say you would need about four to five hours which is a lot since the game is just reading from reports to newspapers to drafts, which a fair amount of people might not be into.
ULTRAKILL
really enjoyed playing it, in the beginning i was feeling a bit not engaged with the game but in my second session i really started to get into it. i think most of the fun comes from the levels killing the mobs rather then the boss fights except for Gabriel when i first got to him is when i really started to like the game more. now for the downsides i have five weapons so far and with each having three mods you can buy and switch to, it really starts to feel way to bloated upside is you can unequip the mods and also the weapon if you want. also i am in act three and i think coming to the end of where the devs have not finished the game yet.
Lysfanga
really enjoy trying to figure out the best route to take and get the fastest time you can, and also giving you new spells and weapons to go back and improve your time so far i finished act 1 and the beginning of act 2, the difficulty kind of plateaus abit. the aesthetics are good aswell.
Punch Club
really enjoyed playing it, but having played the sequel i feel like they really polished the game to what they wanted it to be and also have the world feel more engaging. jobs and stat decay i feel are handled better in punch club 2 also the actual fighting i feel is a bit more in depth. in punch club 2 it made me want to come back and keep playing where with this i had fun with it, but i dont have that feeling of wanting to continue
The Hex
loved the whole experience
War for the Overworld
The whole time i was thinking about playing other RTS games. it should of made a choice to go full automation or have full control.
This War of Mine
